To expand students' channels for international further study and align with global cutting-edge science and technology, Han Chengyan, a member of the preparatory task force for the CJLU-ARU Joint Institute of China Jiliang University (hereinafter "the Joint Institute" ), hosted an admission information session for the Artificial Intelligence Master’s Program at China Jiliang University College of Modern Science and Technology on April 29. The session serves as a direct pathway to world-renowned universities for students aspiring to pursue careers in artificial intelligence. Students from relevant academic departments were organized to attend the event.

Decade-Long Collaboration: From Steady Partnership to High-level Joint Education
The partnership between China Jiliang University (CJLU) and Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) of the United Kingdom has been forged and refined over more than a decade. Since the launch of the undergraduate Financial Engineering program in 2014, the two universities have built profound mutual trust through high-level exchanges, discipline development and talent cultivation. The CJLU-ARU Joint Institute was officially approved in December 2025, marking a new stage in CJLU's international education featuring the in-depth integration of high-quality educational resources.
Strategic Positioning: Serving National Strategies and Empowering New Quality Productive Forces
The Artificial Intelligence Master's Program highlighted in this information session is a landmark initiative by the Joint Institute, aligned with China's national AI strategy and tailored to the needs of Zhejiang's "415X" advanced manufacturing clusters. Building on CJLU's leading disciplines including Artificial Intelligence and integrating top-tier educational resources from ARU, the program aims to nurture application-oriented leading AI talents with a global vision and the ability to solve complex engineering challenges, contributing "CJLU strength" to building China into a global manufacturing powerhouse.
Program Highlights: Flexible Program Structure Aligned with International Standards
The program follows a "1.5+0" delivery model: 1.5 years of study completed entirely onshore, with no mandatory overseas residency. Admission is conducted independently, with no requirement for applicants to sit the National Postgraduate Entrance Examination (NPEE). The curriculum covers core cutting-edge subjects including advanced machine learning, neural computing and deep learning, and emphasizes the integration of theory and practical application. Upon meeting all graduation requirements, students will be awarded a master's degree by Anglia Ruskin University, with internationally recognized academic standing and credibility.
Future Vision: Building a Demonstration Base for Talent Cultivation in Emerging Engineering Disciplines
This information session not only deepened students' understanding of international further study, but also fostered their enthusiasm for serving the country through scientific research. Going forward, the Joint Institute will continue to advance the cultivation of interdisciplinary talents through the integration of mechanical engineering, control science and artificial intelligence. It aims to set a benchmark for engineering education in Sino-foreign cooperative programs, and empower more CJLU students to shine on the global stage.
