1. Academic Foundation
The programme is built on the Automation programme at China Jiliang University (CJLU). The CJLU Automation programme was designated a National Characteristic Speciality in 2009 and was selected for the National Experimental Zone for Innovative Talent Cultivation. It was included in the Ministry of Education’s “Excellent Engineer Education and Training Program” in 2011, approved as a pilot programme for the Ministry of Education’s comprehensive reform of majors in 2013, and became a national training base for the Industrial Automation Accreditation and Training (IAAT). It has been repeatedly recognized as a Zhejiang Provincial Advantageous Programme. The Automation programme obtained engineering education accreditation in 2018 and was approved as a National First‑Class Undergraduate Programme in 2019. The programme benefits from an academic master’s degree programme in the first‑level discipline of Control Science and Engineering, a professional master’s degree programme in Control Engineering, and an academic doctoral programme in the second‑level discipline of Intelligent Perception.
2. Education Objective
This programme responds to the national demand for developing new quality productive forces and serves the construction of Zhejiang Province’s “Internet Plus” science and technology innovation highland. Adhering to the distinctive feature of “integration of metrology and control, and fusion of intelligence and control”, it aims to equip students with fundamental theories, specialized technologies and core skills in areas such as automatic control, metrology and testing, and artificial intelligence. Graduates will be capable of engaging in research and development, system design, engineering application, and management in fields including robotics engineering, industrial control, and the design and development of automation devices. The programme cultivates internationally‑oriented, multi‑skilled engineering professionals who possess a global vision, innovative practical abilities, sound professional ethics, and a strong sense of national commitment.
